What is Avenue?
Avenue is critical illness international insurance that we’ve built to protect your employees in the unfortunate event of a serious condition. We know, no one wants to think about serious illness – but knowing that they are covered will give your employees and their families peace of mind, while helping you enhance your employee benefit package. What is covered*?
Avenue covers treatment for 12 types of medical cases of which three are specific for children.
*Cover is subject to the terms and conditions, exclusions, benefit limits and area of cover of the policy. Please refer to the Benefit Guide and Table of Benefits for further information.

Additional services
Cover for the medical costs required to treat an eligible medical case
Medical case management through the entire treatment, via our own Medical Team and specialized hospitals
Access to relevant medical expertise through our Avenue network of specialised hospitals
Option to receive treatment in-country or overseas, depending on plan selection
Second medical opinion, where required to confirm the initial diagnosis
Counselling service for the patient and their family to cope with the emotional challenges of critical medical care
Access to legal and financial advisory services at all stages of the medical treatment

With Avenue, your employees will have the assurance that if something serious happens to them, they will be treated at hospitals and medical centres that specialise in their medical case.
How does it work?
You can choose to offer your employees either:
- Cover for both overseas and in-country treatment
- Cover for overseas treatment only

How to apply?
If you want to insure between 3 and 24 employees
The scheme will be subject to underwriting. This means that your employees will need to complete this application form and respond to medical questions on their health status. We will consider their responses to confirm the cover we can offer.
If you want to insure more than 24 employees
Underwriting will not apply at group inception. Pre-existing medical conditions are not covered. To apply, simply contact our sales team +353 1 514 8442.
